Transverse Adapter for Air Samplers

The transverse adapter for horizontal air intake with the air sampling heads LKS 30 and LKS100 allows for isokinetic microbiological air sampling in external flows. With corresponding inlet nozzles, which are installed on the inlet of the transverse adapter, the flow velocity in the channel is adapted to the volume flow of the air sampler.

The transverse adapter is demountable and easy to clean.

An additional very interesting application is the loading of 50 mm PU foam cylinders for chemical air sampling with the battery-operated MBASS30V3. Independent of the mains supply, one charge of the battery easily allows drawing of over 10,000 liters of sample air.

The PU foam cylinder simply slides into the transverse adapter which is cleaned beforehand. Two PU foam cylinders, each 50 mm long, can be loaded in a row at the same time. The use of a glass fibre prefilter is only possible to a limited extent when using MBASS30 (depending on the mesh size).
